Great provincial park with a few short but steep trails. Park has a variety of tenting and trailer sites. Unlike most provincial parks, Whycocomagh has yurts available to book. These were booked solid when I was there (and likely were from about when registration went live earlier this year). We tented near the cooking shelter as had a wood stove. Super helpful for arriving shoulder season, at night and in the rain.

Nice campground with large sites on tiered hillside many with beautiful view. Excellent facilities including laundry. Great place to use as central point to tour from

Very pleased with the large camping spots and big trees. My only regret is not taking a spot further up the hill (for the view). Toilets and showers were clean and comfortable. Bundle of wood was only 5$. The park was well kept but the fire pit had to be cleaned out at our site.

Got a yurt last minute. Best decision of our trip. Best value anywhere - something like C$70 for a yurt with 2 bunkbeds (lower bunks are double size), indoor table, patio with BBQ grill, picnic table, and fire pit not far away. No wonder why they're usually all booked up!

The location on the Bras d'or is gorgeous. There are campsites, picnicking areas and great hiking trails. It's a park for all seasons and all reasons. The view from the hilltop above the park is well worth the hike.

Many amenities near by. I'm glad we stayed here on our Cabot trail adventure.

I did not hike the trails but my friend did. We saw some birds of prey flying around the hills on a cool, clear fall morning.
